Quy Nhon has a long beach right in the city. To the south, Ghenh Rang, Bai Xep and Bai Dai hold resorts backed by mountains; across Thi Nai Lagoon, the Phuong Mai Peninsula has Nhon Ly, Eo Gio and Ky Co. It is a calm, uncrowded city with fresh seafood and gentle prices.
February to August: sunshine and clear water, ideal for island trips. September to December is wetter, with the odd storm.
