Draha Halong Hotel is a small 4-star hotel at 21 Phu Gia 4 in the Vinhomes Dragon Bay quarter on the Hon Gai side, set in a row of French-style townhouses with iron balconies. Rooms are cosy with handcrafted wooden furniture, rattan chairs and oil paintings, and many have a small balcony draped in bougainvillea above the street. Bathrooms are laid with patterned encaustic tiles and stone basins, and some rooms have a bathtub. There is a ground-floor café, room service, family rooms, kids' facilities and airport transfers. It suits couples and travellers who like a small, quiet place with character close to the Bai Chay Bridge but away from the crowds.
