Sheraton Hanoi Hotel is on Xuan Dieu Road on the eastern shore of West Lake, an area full of restaurants, cafes and shops popular with Hanoi’s expatriate community. The grounds include a garden with areca palms and a traditional curved-roof pavilion, and rooms on the upper floors look out across the open water. Rooms are classic in style with wooden beds, patterned carpets and bathtubs, and there are soundproofed, family and connecting rooms. Facilities include a pool, a spa, a fitness room, facilities for children and airport transfers; check-in is from 15:00 and check-out by 12:00. A good base for families and longer stays, with room to breathe, morning walks or bike rides around the lake and dinners along the Tay Ho streets.
