Mia Saigon is a 5-star boutique hotel right on the Saigon River in An Phu ward near Thao Dien, about 20 to 30 minutes by car from central District 1. The white French-style building hides behind a tropical garden, and rooms mix red patterned fabrics, brown timber and wrought-iron balconies facing the river. With only a modest number of rooms it stays calm and attentive, and an afternoon on the balcony watching boats on the river is unwinding enough. There is a pool, a spa, a gym, facilities for children, family rooms, room service and airport transfers; check-in is 15:00 and check-out 12:00. Lovely for couples and honeymooners, and for anyone who wants a resort-style stay inside the city, away from the noise of District 1.
