Hilton New York Times Square sits on West 42nd Street, Manhattan’s liveliest entertainment strip, about three hundred metres from Times Square itself. The lobby is set high above the street, so little of the noise below reaches it, and upper-floor rooms have wide windows, many facing the Empire State Building. Rooms are finished in cream and warm wood with a reading chair by the window, a laptop safe and bathrobes. Guests get room service, laundry, a fitness room, parking and wheelchair access, and the hotel welcomes pets. The big Times Square subway station is at the end of the block, ideal if you plan to explore the city by train on your own.
