The Westin New York at Times Square is the multicoloured glass tower at West 43rd Street and Eighth Avenue, about three hundred metres from Times Square and close to the Port Authority bus terminal. The lobby has carved screens, sparkling pendant lights and a fireside lounge, while bedrooms are bright with thick white beds and windows over the Hudson River or the Midtown towers. Many bathrooms have glass-walled showers, and rooms include a minibar fridge and bathrobes. The hotel has a 24-hour front desk, currency exchange, room service, family rooms, a fitness room, a spa and children’s facilities, and it accepts pets. Suits travellers who want the theatre district on the doorstep but prefer a roomier, calmer room than the hotels right on the square.
