The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong occupies the upper floors of the Shanghai IFC, at the foot of the Oriental Pearl and a short walk from the Pudong riverside. Wide windows frame the Oriental Pearl and the Bund across the river almost in full. Interiors nod to 1930s Shanghai with ribbed wood panelling, brass lamps and embroidered bed runners. There is a pool, a spa, a jacuzzi, a gym, a terrace, a garden and a 24-hour front desk; check-in is after 15:00 and check-out by 12:00. Lovely for couples and special occasions, staying in the financial district while waking up to the old Bund every morning.
