A ticket to the water puppet show at the Golden Dragon Theatre, one of the long-running water puppet stages in central Ho Chi Minh City. Water puppetry is a folk art from the Red River Delta: painted wooden puppets glide across the water acting out rice planting, frog fishing, boat races and dragon and lion dances. A traditional ensemble and singers accompany the whole performance from beside the stage, and it runs only about 45–50 minutes, so young children stay engaged.
