Top of the Rock is the observation deck on the main tower of Rockefeller Center, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues in Midtown Manhattan. From its three viewing levels, Central Park stretches away to the north and the Empire State Building rises among the towers to the south, a view many call the best in New York. The top level is open with no glass, while the lower levels have glass wind screens. In winter the ice rink and the giant Rockefeller Center Christmas tree sit at the foot of the building.
