Universal Studios Hollywood is a theme park built around a working film studio in Universal City, just north of Hollywood. Its highlight is the tram tour through the real studio lot, past famous film sets and effects scenes with fires, explosions and floods. The park spreads over two levels linked by long escalators, with movie-themed lands, thrill rides and live shows. Ticket types (one day, skip-the-line) and daily prices appear once you pick a date; the price shown is the lowest available. Arrive at opening to ride the studio tram before the crowds, and book early for weekends and summer.
