About

  • Classical Jiangnan garden in the old town
  • Next to the City God Temple and bazaar
  • Walk to the Bund

An entry ticket to Yu Garden, the classical Jiangnan-style garden in the heart of Shanghai’s old town, next to the City God Temple. Inside are koi ponds, rockeries, covered walkways, curved-roof pavilions and finely carved windows, a world away from the busy streets outside. Around it lies the old bazaar with teahouses, lanterns, soup-dumpling stalls and souvenir shops. The price shown is the lowest on sale; holiday and lantern-festival periods may differ. Go early in the morning while it is quiet; the Bund is about fifteen minutes away on foot.
