A five-day small-group tour around northern Vietnam’s most famous sights, departing every Thursday for travellers from Ho Chi Minh City. Day one explores Hanoi with Tran Quoc Pagoda, Ngoc Son Temple and the Temple of Literature; day two heads to Ninh Binh for Bai Dinh Pagoda and a Trang An boat ride before an overnight in Ha Long. On day three you cruise Ha Long Bay, visit the Buddhist mountain of Yen Tu in the afternoon and return to Hanoi for the night. The last two days take the expressway up to Sapa, with an optional cable car to Fansipan, a morning walk through Cat Cat village and an evening drop-off at the airport. You stay in 3-star hotels, eat set meals and travel with a guide throughout. Ideal for families and friends who want to see a lot in one trip without arranging transport and rooms themselves.
Day-by-day itinerary

On the way back to Hanoi stop for Hai Duong mung bean cakes, then check in, have dinner and enjoy a free evening.
