  • Natural hot springs at Tram Tau
  • Cloud-watching at Cu Vai village
  • Ancient Shan Tuyet tea trees at Suoi Giang

A two-day weekend escape from Hanoi to the Tram Tau and Nghia Lo area of the north-west, leaving on Saturday morning. The main draw is a natural hot spring in the valley, its clear water revealing the pebbles below at around 43–45°C, leaving you wonderfully relaxed. The group lunches on Thai ethnic dishes in Nghia Lo and spends the night in a 3-star hotel with its own mineral pool, joining bamboo dancing, a campfire and rice wine sipped through bamboo. Next morning rise early for the clouds at Cu Vai village, then stop among the ancient Shan Tuyet tea trees of Suoi Giang for tea before heading home. A Vietnamese-speaking guide and a photographer accompany the whole trip. Perfect for busy workers wanting a short, restorative break, and for couples and friends who love the mountains without going too far.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1 · Hanoi – Nghia Lo – Tram Tau hot springs

Around 7:00 the group leaves the Hanoi meeting point by expressway, with a breakfast stop at your own expense. Reach Nghia Lo and the Muong Lo fields by midday for a Thai-style lunch, then check in to a 3-star hotel in Tram Tau early in the afternoon. Soak in the natural hot spring in the afternoon, then enjoy a hotpot dinner with bamboo dancing, a campfire and rice wine with local hosts.

  2. Day 2 · Cu Vai village – Suoi Giang tea hills – Hanoi

Rise around 5:00 and ride pillion with local drivers up to Cu Vai village (at your own expense) to watch the clouds from its sky gate. Back at the hotel for breakfast, relax or try an optional Red Dao herbal bath, then check out and head to Nghia Lo for lunch. In the afternoon visit the ancient Shan Tuyet tea trees of Suoi Giang for a tasting, arriving in Hanoi around 19:00.
