A five-day group tour from Hanoi in December, flying to Seoul at midday and landing back at Noi Bai in the early hours of day five, so you get four full days of sightseeing. Your first day in Korea covers Nami Island, where the drama Winter Sonata was filmed, followed by the Elysian ski area for a taste of the snow. The next day you wear hanbok around Gyeongbokgung Palace, visit the National Folk Museum, photograph the Blue House and watch the martial-arts comedy show JUMP. The last day takes in the Starfield Library, the Namsan tower area and kimchi-making before the transfer to Incheon. The price includes return flights with checked baggage, the group visa, three-star hotels, three breakfasts, three lunches and three dinners, and a Vietnamese-speaking guide.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1 · Hanoi – Seoul

At midday the coach and guide collect the group at a meeting point in central Hanoi for the drive to Noi Bai and the afternoon flight to Korea. You land at Incheon at about 22:45 local time, clear immigration and transfer to a hotel in Incheon; dinner is served on board.

  2. Day 2 · Nami Island – Elysian ski resort

After breakfast and check-out, drive to Nami Island to walk the tree-lined avenues made famous by Winter Sonata. In the afternoon head to the Elysian ski area to play in the snow and try skiing (board, poles and sledge rental at your own cost). Dinner and overnight in Seoul.

  3. Day 3 · Gyeongbokgung Palace – JUMP show – Myeongdong

Wear hanbok around Gyeongbokgung, the largest palace of the Joseon dynasty, visit the National Folk Museum and photograph the Blue House from outside. Stops follow at a ginseng centre, a cosmetics store and a duty-free shop. Watch the JUMP show in the afternoon, then shop freely in Myeongdong in the evening.

  4. Day 4 · Starfield Library – Namsan – to the airport

Check out and visit the Starfield Library with its open book halls and natural light. In the afternoon go up to the Namsan tower area for a view over Seoul (top-deck lift at your own cost), call at a red pine oil shop and make kimchi in hanbok. After dinner, transfer to Incheon for the after-midnight flight to Hanoi.

  5. Day 5 · Arrive in Hanoi

Land at Noi Bai at around 03:10, clear immigration and collect your bags. Your guide says goodbye and the tour ends.
