An eight-day small-group tour for lovers of the American West’s landscapes: fly from Ho Chi Minh City to Phoenix, Arizona, then travel by coach through a chain of canyons and red-rock valleys before ending in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. In Phoenix you visit the desert botanical garden with its thousands of cacti and the copper-domed state capitol, then reach Page to look down on Horseshoe Bend, where the Colorado River curls around a rock spur. Next comes Antelope Canyon with its swirling sandstone walls and, in the afternoon, the Navajo lands of Monument Valley; on day four you walk the Riverside Walk in Zion National Park. The last three days cover Las Vegas, Seven Magic Mountains, Little Saigon in Orange County and San Diego with the USS Midway, the Hotel del Coronado and La Jolla Cove. The price includes international flights, 3-star hotels, meals, transport and a Vietnamese-speaking guide; paid entrance fees, the US visa and tips are extra.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 · Ho Chi Minh City – Phoenix
The guide meets the group at Tan Son Nhat Airport for the flight to Phoenix, the largest city in Arizona. With the time difference you arrive the same day, clear immigration, have dinner and check in.
Day 2 · Phoenix – Page – Horseshoe Bend
After breakfast, visit the Desert Botanical Garden with its giant cacti and the copper-domed Arizona State Capitol. At midday drive to Page and in the afternoon stand on the rim above Horseshoe Bend, where the jade-green Colorado loops around a rock spur; overnight in Page.
Day 3 · Antelope Canyon – Monument Valley
In the morning enter Antelope Canyon on Navajo land, walking between sandstone walls carved into curves by wind and water as light pours through the slot. In the afternoon reach Monument Valley on the Arizona–Utah border, with the towering red buttes seen in many westerns; back to the hotel in the evening.
Day 4 · Page – Zion National Park – Las Vegas
A drive of about three hours brings you to Zion National Park in Utah. Walk the Riverside Walk, roughly two kilometres along the Virgin River between sheer cliffs, looking towards the narrow gorge of The Narrows. Continue to Las Vegas for dinner and check-in.
Day 5 · Las Vegas – Seven Magic Mountains – Orange County
Check out, take photos at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, stop at Seven Magic Mountains and follow Route 66 across the Mojave with a shopping stop at the Barstow outlets. In the afternoon reach Orange County for the Phuoc Loc Tho mall in Little Saigon; the evening is free to meet family.
Day 6 · San Diego – LAX
Head down to San Diego for exterior photos of the USS Midway and the Embracing Peace statue, a stroll through Old Town, the seaside Hotel del Coronado and La Jolla Cove where sea lions bask on the rocks. Dinner, then check-in for the flight to Vietnam.
Day 7 · In flight
Rest on board, with a connection at the transit airport for the onward flight to Vietnam.
Day 8 · Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City
Land at Tan Son Nhat, clear immigration, collect your luggage and the tour ends.

Good to know
- Passports must be valid for more than 6 months from departure, signed and undamaged
- Vietnamese passport holders need a US visa and must attend an interview at a US consulate in person; we help with the application and interview booking and give you the deadline when booking. The visa fee is not included and the decision rests with the consulate. Tell us when booking if you already hold a valid US visa or travel on another passport
- Departures in the next few weeks suit only guests who already hold a valid US visa; if you still need one, choose a date far enough ahead for the application and interview
- There is plenty of walking in mountain and desert areas; mornings and evenings in November–December are very cold, so bring a heavy coat, shoes with grip and sunscreen
- The price section of the programme lists Ho Chi Minh City – Los Angeles flights while the itinerary flies to Phoenix; we will confirm the routing when booking
- The order of visits, airline, flight times and hotels may change; hotel names are confirmed at the pre-departure briefing
- Group tours need a minimum number of guests to depart; if it is not reached, we will tell you in advance and agree a new date or a refund
- Children have separate rates by age; guests aged 70 and over need a health certificate and a relative travelling with them, and pregnant guests should tell us before booking
