Day-by-day itinerary

1. 1

   Day 1 · Ho Chi Minh City – Narita

   In the evening the tour leader meets you at Tan Son Nhat international terminal and checks the group in for Vietnam Airlines’ after-midnight flight to Narita. Night on board.

2. 2

   Day 2 · Narita – Tokyo – Yamanashi

   Land at Narita in the morning, clear immigration and drive into Tokyo. Visit the ancient Asakusa Kannon Temple, browse Nakamise souvenir street and photograph the Skytree from outside. After lunch head to Oshino Hakkai village at the foot of Mount Fuji, then check in at Yamanashi for a dinner with extra snow crab and a sashimi boat, yukata and an onsen bath.

   Day 3 · Mount Fuji – snow resort – Toyohashi

   After breakfast, a stop at a duty-free store, then up to Fuji’s 5th Station at about 2,300 m if weather allows. Enjoy the slides at Fujiten or Yeti snow resort (ski gear at your own cost). In the afternoon ride a section of the Shinkansen bullet train, then dinner and overnight in Toyohashi.

   Day 4 · Kyoto – Osaka

   Travel to the old capital of Kyoto for the Golden Pavilion of Kinkaku-ji, sometimes dusted with snow in winter. In the afternoon walk the Sagano bamboo grove, Arashiyama’s old street and Togetsukyo Bridge, with matcha ice cream and local snacks. Free evening in Osaka’s Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori for takoyaki and ramen before check-in.

   Day 5 · Kobe – Osaka – Kansai

   Check out and drive to Kobe for the Harborland waterfront and the Hakutsuru sake museum. Lunch is Kobe beef cooked teppanyaki-style. In the afternoon photograph Osaka Castle from outside, then check in for the night in the Kansai area.

   Day 6 · Kansai – Ho Chi Minh City

   Breakfast and check-out, then transfer to Kansai International Airport for the morning flight home with lunch on board. Arrive at Tan Son Nhat in the early afternoon, end of tour.
