A five-day, four-night small-group tour from Ho Chi Minh City with no shopping stops, including group return flights on Sun PhuQuoc Airways night services and a group visa. Day one in Shanghai covers the Jade Buddha Temple, the City God Temple lanes, Wukang Road’s historic houses and the ship-shaped The Louis, with a twin-pot hotpot dinner. In Hangzhou you walk Qinghefang Old Street, take a boat on West Lake past Broken Bridge and Leifeng Pagoda, lunch on hairy-crab noodles and see the new district by the Qiantang River. Night three is in a 5-star hotel in Wuzhen West with free time in the old town after dark; the next day you return to Shanghai for Nanjing Road and the Bund. Other nights are in 4-star hotels. Made for travellers who prefer an easy pace and scenery over shops.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1 · Ho Chi Minh City – Shanghai

The tour leader meets you at Tan Son Nhat for the night flight, landing at Pudong before dawn. After breakfast visit the Jade Buddha Temple, home to jade Buddhas brought from Myanmar, and stroll the City God Temple lanes with their dragon-carved eaves. In the afternoon see Wukang Road and The Louis; twin-pot hotpot for dinner, with an optional night cruise at your own cost.

  2. Day 2 · Shanghai – Hangzhou

Check out, walk around Lujiazui and photograph the 468 m Oriental Pearl from outside, then drive to Hangzhou. In the afternoon explore Qinghefang Old Street, almost nine centuries old, with teahouses and handicrafts. The Songcheng show is optional in the evening; overnight in Hangzhou.

  3. Day 3 · Hangzhou – Wuzhen West

Walk along West Lake over Broken Bridge and Long Bridge, then take a boat past the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon and Leifeng Pagoda. Lunch is hairy-crab noodles, followed by the new G20 district overlooking the Qiantang River. Check in to a 5-star hotel in Wuzhen West and enjoy the lit-up old town, open-air films or local opera in the evening.

  4. Day 4 · Wuzhen West – Shanghai

Spend the morning in Wuzhen West among more than seventy bridges, Ming and Qing houses and craft workshops. After lunch return to Shanghai for the Nanjing Road pedestrian street and the Bund, where European façades face the Pudong skyscrapers. The evening is free.

  5. Day 5 · Shanghai – Ho Chi Minh City

Early check-out and transfer to Pudong for the pre-dawn flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive at Tan Son Nhat in the morning, where the trip ends.
