When is the best time to visit Da Nang and Hoi An?
February to August brings sunny days and a calm sea, good for the beach and Ba Na Hills. September to December is the rainy season with the odd storm; if you travel then, stay close to the centre and keep tickets flexible on dates.
How far is Hoi An from Da Nang?
About 30 km, or 40–50 minutes by car. Many people spend 2 nights in Da Nang, then 1–2 nights in Hoi An to enjoy the old town in the evening.
