FAQ

When is the best time to visit Sa Pa?

September and October bring golden rice on the terraces, the best time for village walks. March to May is clear, with peach and plum blossom. Summer is cool but often rainy, and December to February is properly cold, sometimes below 5°C, so pack warm layers and choose a hotel with heating.

How do I get from Hanoi to Sa Pa?

By road on the Noi Bai – Lao Cai expressway it takes about 5–6 hours, with shared limousine vans, sleeper and cabin buses or a private car. Or take the night train to Lao Cai and continue for about an hour by car up the mountain road. Train tickets, bus seats and station transfers are all in the things-to-do section.

Do I need a visa for Vietnam?

Most visitors need a Vietnam visa or e-visa; some passports can visit without one for a set number of days. Check the latest rules for your passport with your airline or the official e-visa site before you travel.

How soon is my hotel booking confirmed?

We hold the room with the hotel and confirm within 4 working hours (8:00–22:00, GMT+7). You are not charged until the room is confirmed.

How do I pay?

By card through OnePay, charged in VND, with 3-D Secure. Prices on this page include taxes and fees.
