Australia travel guide
The Sydney Opera House, the Blue Mountains, the Great Ocean Road and the Phillip Island penguins. Hotels, tours and things to do in Australia we sell, with real people to help 8:00–22:00 (GMT+7).
Overview
Most trips to Australia from Vietnam centre on two cities: Sydney, with its harbour, the Opera House and the Blue Mountains two hours away, and Melbourne, with its café laneways, the Puffing Billy steam train, Phillip Island and the Great Ocean Road. A week covers both; add Brisbane and the Gold Coast for beaches and theme parks.
Australia is in the southern hemisphere, so seasons are reversed: spring (September–November) and autumn (March–May) are the most pleasant; summer (December–February) is hot and winter (June–August) is cool.
There are direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney and Melbourne of about 8–9 hours; all tours on this page include group flights.
5 days for Sydney and the Blue Mountains; 7 days to cover both Sydney and Melbourne.
Visa rules depend on your passport. Vietnamese passport holders need an Australian visa before travel, which is not included in our tour prices; we guide you through the application when booking. Passports must be valid for more than 6 months.

FAQ
Do I need a visa for Australia?
It depends on your passport. Vietnamese passport holders need an Australian visa before travel, which our tour prices do not include; we send the document checklist when you book. Check the current rules for your passport before you travel.
When is the best time to visit Australia?
Seasons are the reverse of Vietnam’s. Spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) are mild and good for both cities and mountains. Summer (December to February) is hot and sunny, ideal for Gold Coast beaches and fruit picking. Winter (June to August) is cold in Melbourne and the Blue Mountains, so pack a warm coat.
Which area should I stay in Sydney and Melbourne?
In Sydney, first-timers do well around Circular Quay and The Rocks, within walking distance of the Opera House, the bridge and the ferries; families with young children like Darling Harbour near the aquarium and zoo; shoppers prefer the area around the QVB. In Melbourne, Collins Street and the Bourke Street area are walkable with free city trams, while Southbank suits those who want the river and plenty of restaurants.
How soon is my hotel booking confirmed?
We hold the room with the hotel and confirm within 4 working hours (8:00–22:00, GMT+7). You are not charged until the room is confirmed.
How do I pay?
By card through OnePay, charged in VND, with 3-D Secure. Prices on this page include taxes and fees.
